Rather than move from our neighborhood, my wife and I decided to upgrade our 1970’s ranch. We wanted to open up and modernize our small kitchen. We had long list of requirements, but a modest budget. Sarah did a marvelous job.

She listened carefully to our desires and came up with a design to satisfy them all. She turned our cramped kitchen into a warm, yet open, gathering place. She designed an efficient work space, yet allowed space for conversation. Her design made use of every available inch of space. She carried colors and themes from the rest of the house into the kitchen. She did all that and still stayed within the budget.

We are doing a complete rehab on our vacation home and are attempting to do this long-distance, as well. I was lucky enough to have Sarah Steinberg professionally design two kitchens. First I needed help with a small house I had recently purchased. The kitchen was dated and impossible for more than one person. Sarah’s design layout utilized the existing floor space while making the kitchen feel much bigger and easier to work in.

My second kitchen is in a historic antique cape on the water, Obviously there were issues beyond design layout, surface choices and kitchen appliances. Sarah helped me by listening to my desire to have a beautiful updated kitchen and keeping the historic feel of the house.

Sarah’s invaluable knowledge of what will work, what will look great and what you need saved me from many mistakes. At the same time, I feel both kitchens are my vision, my design and exactly what I wanted. Both experiences gave me fabulous kitchens that are much more than functional; they are a delight to work and entertain in.
